More Atelier Resleriana: The Red Alchemist...

Koei Tecmo and Gust have provided more details for Atelier Resleriana: The Red Alchemist & The White Guardian. The update covers the game’s connections to free-to-play mobile and PC title Atelier Resleriana: Forgotten Alchemy & the Polar Night Liberator, as well as revealing more characters and gameplay systems.

Atelier Resleriana: The Red Alchemist & the White Guardian is set in the same unvierse and timeless as Atelier Resleriana: Forgotten Alchemy & the Polar Night Liberator, but is completely offline and has its own original story. The game takes place in parallel with Forgotten Alchemy & the Polar Night Liberator sometime after the Weltex is defeated. It follows new protagonist duo Rias Eidreise, an adventurer with a talent for alchemy, and Slade Clauslyter, a young man able to open paths to alternate dimensions, as they investigate the disappearance of the residents of Hallfein on the Lantarna continent. The game includes familiar faces across the Atelier series; newly shown characters include Reisalin “Ryza” Stout, Klaudia Valentz, Ayesha Altugle, Vayne Aurelius, and Logix “Logy” Ficsario. These characters interact with Rias and Slade, helping them in their adventures and with alchemy.

Atelier Resleriana: The Red Alchemist & The White Guardian features turn-based combat involving a party of six characters, three in the front line and three in the back. The combat focuses on the order of turns, with players able to trigger Multi-Actions with support characters thatallow them to perform up to three actions in a row. During such multiple skill attacks, players can also use items, with two or more being used in a row triggering an Item Mix that adds extra effects. As players attack opponents, they fill the Unite Gauge, which grants various effects. For exmaple, with two slots in the gauge are filled and two front-row characters act consecutively, it triggers a special Unite Attack. If the gauge is fully filled across all five slots then players can trigger a Unite Burst, which sees all front-row characters gain consecutive turns.

The game’s synthesis system sees players connecting the Gift Colors of the ingredients together to add traits to the created items. Using specific ingredients known as Catalyst Ingredients will allow the creation of speical items. For example, the Altus ingredient lets players determine the Gift Colors of the next ingredient, while the Iris Stone ingredient changes the category of the next ingredient slot. In addition, certain ingredients can trigger a Recipe Morph that changes the recipe and lets players create new items.

Finally, players will explore multi-level randomised dungeons called Dimensional Paths. Players are able to choose the difficulty of these dungeons, hich impacts he enemies and ingreidnets found within. Fairies can be found that will give players items, and can be recruited for the Mistletoe Miscellaneous shop, where the sell created items.

Atelier Resleriana: The Red Alchemist & The White Guardian will release worldwide on September 26, 2025. The game will be available on PC, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch, with Japan also receiving a PlayStation 4 version.
